Les Gets Update: New for Winter 17/18
Our new residents in Les Gets will be delighted by the volume of investment in local lift infrastructure ahead of the approaching winter season.
The installation of a much-talked-about ‘teleporter’ link between the Chavannes on one side of the valley and Mont Chery mid-station on the other is still very much up in the air – pun intended! The new lift connection would make it easier for skiers and snowboarders to explore the incredible terrain in one of the Portes du Soleil’s quietest corners, breathing new life into the bars and restaurants on the mountain. Our Annapurna and Kinabalu developments sit at the base of Mont Chery and you can ski within metres of your luxury apartment.
However, the new link divides opinion across the resort. The ‘teleporter’ will be suspended 50 metres above the rooftops of Les Gets, a village we all consider to be one of the most charming in the Alps. On both environmental and cost grounds, many believe the development makes little sense. We will of course keep you updated on developments.
Meanwhile, fans of Les Gets’ Ranfolly Bowl are in for a treat this winter. A staggering €9.5 million has been spent on replacing the Ranfolly chairlift for the coming season. The original 4-man chair was built in 1986. It’s replacement is a 6-man, capable of carrying 3300 skiers per hour.
Les Gets continues to be a property investment hot spot. If you’d like further information on our current developments, please contact our Les Gets sales team.
